"There's been a lot of stories like that over the years. I remember teaching some kids on Treasure Island how to sail and they used to just come down, four kids on a bike, to come help us with rigging and just volunteer around the sailing center, and then I'd take them sailing. I think there's been a special community that's been built up over time out there and it's just grown over the years."
