Happy 102nd birthday, Zoe!
A very happy 102nd birthday to Zoe Dell Lantis Nutter, “theme girl” of the Golden Gate International Exposition! Promoting the GGIE transformed Zoe Dell from ballet student to “the most photographed woman in the world” (Life Magazine, 1938).
Since then she has been a pioneer in women’s commercial aviation, and her many awards include the “Living Legends of Flight” in 2008.
We are grateful for her long time and continuing support of the Treasure Island Museum, and so pleased that redevelopment plans include naming a street for her!
