Just found this board, evokes lot of memories. Feb '67 found this
18-yr-old in Navy's Electronics Technician school which ended up
paying for itself many times over, and a formative time in my life.
Single, under-21, no car, so on weekends I'd catch a bus into SF and
just ride and walk around; was a nice time then. Never forget, though, the watch duty we'd pull. We'd rotate on "fire-watches" outside the
barracks and school in middle of the night I remember being layered-up
as best I could, but man that wind whipping across the bay would really
cut through you. Out of ET school, was assigned to USS Chicago CG-11
for 2 tours to VietNam.
